How to use the webhook in Storytell:
How to troubleshoot if the Slack Webhook fails
- Remove the tag from the content file in Storytell.
- Refresh the page or navigate away from the content file to ensure the tag removal is saved.
- Re-add the tag to the content file to re-trigger the webhook.
- If the Webhook still doesn’t work, proceed to the next steps.
- Check Slack workflow configuration again
- Return to the Slack workflow and edit the configuration if necessary.
- Consider changing the Slack channel for testing purposes to avoid spamming main channels.
- Save and publish any changes made to the workflow.
- Manually test your prompt in Storytell
- Use the chat feature in Storytell to run the prompt manually.
- Verify that the prompt generates the expected output.
- If the prompt works manually, the issue likely lies with the webhook configuration or triggering.
- Re-test the Webhook
- Repeat the tag removal and re-addition process in Storytell to trigger the webhook.
- Observe the Slack channel for a new message from the webhook.
- Reach out for support if necessary
- If the issue persists, consider reaching out to the support or engineering team for further assistance.
- Provide details of the steps you’ve taken and where the process seems to be failing.
- Document any error messages or irregularities that may help in diagnosing the problem.
